Resources

Here in this section we hope to compile a lot of the resources we palaeontologists regularly use in our research.

Produced and maintained by the International Commission on Stratigraphy, the International Chronostratigraphical Chart‘s purpose is to set global standards for the fundamental scale for expressing the history of the Earth. It is by far the most commonly used resource and we recommend printing a copy for your own reference. The chart is updated regularly as boundaries shift (so no, they don’t just keep adding each new year to the top of the Holocene), so watch out for the latest edition on their website at http://www.stratigraphy.org
